When he was finally captured he showed no remorse for his crimes. He died June 7th, 2013 while awaiting execution. He died of B cell lymphoma at age 53 while sitting on his beaner ass on death row for more than 2 decades.
Richard was the youngest of 5 children and if you can't tell by his name and where he was born he was born to Mexican parents.
Capture: Richard Ramirez was captured in August of 1985 in Los Angeles, California. He was eventually convicted of 13 counts of murder. Ramirez's mug hit the front page of the newspapers in Los Angeles. He had no fucking idea as he was out in Tucson, Arizona visiting his brother.
After he was arrested he grew a large fan club of female followers. One even marrying him. He must be happy there are so many bad fathers out there.
Ramirez with wife Doreen Lioy
Ramirez married Lioy in 1996. She always claimed he was innocent. Ha ha ha. Dumb bitch. Lioy's family disowned her after marrying Ramirez (I fucking wonder why?). Lioy's where abouts today are unknown.
He was ranked #3 on List Verse's Far Out Facts and Strange Stories About Serial Killers. The Trial From Hell
The trial of Richard Ramirez, the killer known as the Night Stalker, became almost as notorious as his killing spree. He was known for performances meant to draw the spotlight on him such as screaming “Hail Satan,” drawing pentagrams on his hands, or smiling and waving at relatives of the victims.
At one point, there was a genuine concern that Ramirez could shoot the prosecutor during courtroom proceedings and then turn the gun on the crowd. Jail employees overheard him bragging about having friends who could sneak a weapon to him. Subsequently, a metal detector was installed outside the courtroom and all participants were searched before entering.
In the end, the trial cost over $1.8 million, making it the most expensive one in California history until the O.J. Simpson trial in 1994. And yet, it could have been even costlier since it almost resulted in a mistrial after the murder of a juror.
One of his victims Maria Hernandes actually escaped a close encounter with Ramirez when she was pulling up to her garage. This occurred in Rosemont, California back in 1985. This also puts Ramirez on List Verse for a a second time. This time under the list Grueling Experiences of People Who Escaped Serial Killers. The list is actually under Hernandes's name. But it is Ramirez\s botched attempt. On this list it comes in at #5 Maria Hernandes.
On March 17, 1985, 29-year-old Maria Hernandez was pulling into the garage of her home in Rosemead, California. As she exited the car, she heard a noise. Turning around, Maria saw a strange man who crept up on her and shoved a gun in her face. Little did she know that she was standing face-to-face with the man who was about to terrorize Los Angeles in the following months as the Night Stalker.
Without saying a word, Richard Ramirez pointed the gun at Maria’s face and fired.[6] Afterward, he went inside her condominium. There, Ramirez shot her roommate, Dayle Okazaki. Miraculously, Maria survived by putting her hands in front of her face. The bullet bounced off her keys and hit her right hand. Okazaki wasn’t so fortunate.
Ramirez makes List Verse once again. This time under the category Creepily Inappropriate Day Jobs of Serial Killers. He use to work at a Holiday Inn. This time he makes this list at #6. Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) Holiday Inn Employee
An eager freshman by the name of Richard Ramirez took a job at his local Holiday Inn. So what if he swiped a few things here and there or sometimes spied on the guests in the shower? Wait, hold up—that’s a bit odd, right?
Well, one night, the now-infamous killer took this hobby from bizarre to downright evil when he raped one of the hotel’s female guests. Luckily, he was caught in the act by the woman’s husband. Unfortunately, the charge was ultimately dropped.
Ramirez was free to become the maniacal drug addict, Satanist, and brutally indiscriminate “night stalker” who would most often break into his victims’ homes. Fittingly, the people eventually garnered some form of revenge when a group of locals held him down upon seeing him flee from police capture.
On the website List 25 he is ranked as the 13th worst serial killer of all time. Link
