Cops all make good criminals. I believe in order to be a great cop you have to be a great criminal. In the same respect in order to be a great criminal you need to be a great cop. Original night stalker for example. I figured that fuck was a cop or military before his old ass got caught. John Patrick Addis(Born May 11th, 1950) was known as a great cop and detective. So good that he instructed law enforcement from all of Alaska on forensic crime scene investigation.
This is what made John Addis so elusive from cops until his death. In the 70's Addis was a state trooper in Alaska. He was married to Jodi. They ended up getting divorce because he beat her ass alot and the whole time he was a cop no one knew. They lived in a cabin in the Alaskan wilderness with no running water or heat. Holy shit no shower. Even negros in Africa can go bath in elephant shit. He must of stunk when he went on service calls. He was an avid caribou hunter. After Addis got divorced he got married immediately to another woman. She divorced him quickly for beating her. Also Addis had to serve a year in jail for abducting his 4 children from his first marriage.
So he moved away from Alaska, quit his job and hunted for wife number 3. He moved down to the lower 48, Las Vegas to be specific. He posed as a fitness trainer, screen writer, and or novelist. Due to his cop skills Addis was great at changes his identities. In 1995 he met Joanne Albanese a divorcee with 2 young daughters, who knew Addis as John Edwards. Joanne worked at the MGM Grand Hotel in Vegas. On top of Addis's horrid temper he did nothing and leached and mooched off of Joanne. On August 1995 Joanne went missing. Three days later they found Joanne's car abandoned in Prescott, Arizona. Investigators in the crime finally found out Edwards was really John Addis. Near Joanne's car her remains were found 3 years after she disappeared but Addis was no where to be seen.
Addis then made his way to Guadalajara, Mexico and got himself wife number 4. A 26 year old named Laura Padilla. Addis fathered 2 children with her. In 2006 Addis murdered his wife and his 2 children(age 4 &6). They were found in Chiapas, Mexico. The authorities found papers there that belonged to John Addis. Addis had been living as J.Charles Peterson and claimed to people he was Canadian. Addis had been making a living there teaching English and tennis. Addis soon made his way to a hotel in Guatemala City, Guatemala and committed suicide.
1987- Scarborough, Ontario. Paul Bernardo and his wife Karla Homolka go on a killing spree through the Toronto metro area. Murdering 3 girls included Tammy Karla's own sister. No body died until Paul met Karla he just raped the girls. Just. They should both be dead. It is Canada Karla cut a deal and is out free with a family now. Known murdered victims- Leslie Mahaffy 14, Kristen French 15, Tammy Homolka 15.
Episode 2- The Mini Van Murders.
1997- In Northern California and Reno,Nevada Joe Daveggio and Michelle Michaud raped and tortured young teen age girls in their piece of shit mini van.
James Daveggio was a registered sex offender born in 1960 in San Francisco, California. While growing up most kids collected baseball cards. Daveggio collected cards of serial killers on them. Reports are he was obsessed with serial killers. He was really obsessed with the Gerald and Charlene Gallego. Daveggio also had a 15 year old daughter who he molested like it was a fucking hobby.
Michelle Michaud had several arrested for prostitution. She was 2 years older than Daveggio. She grew up in the Sacramento area. She met Daveggio at a bar he worked at in 1986. They were mainly attracted to each other due to their shared addiction to crystal meth. They were welfare collectors. Really I do not get that if you are willing to go as far as to rape and kill people may as well rob them too.
The murdered victim was 22 year old Vanessa Samson. Beautiful woman.
A girl (Elizabeth Haysom, 20) and her younger nerd four eyed ugly boyfriend (Jens Soring, 18)killed her parents in Virginia. Haysome and Soring fled to Thailand and then the UK. They both had a lot of travel and living experience over seas.
Episode 4 Evil in the Desert.
The toy box murders. David Parker Ray. Parker Ray was nicknamed the tool box killer as he enjoyed torturing women with his tools. Having a hobby like that is sort of frowned upon in this day and age. He actually sound proofed a truck trailer and gave it a nick name "The Tool Box'. Which should be sort of explanitory given this history.
Zane Floyd was a heavy boozer from Las Vegas, Nevada who thought he was GI Joe. He was enlisted in the US army after high school but was discharged due to loving the sauce too much.
Floyd was born September 20th, 1975. He liked marlboro reds and was described by his neighbors as a nice guy "who didn't drink THAT much" His neighbors also said that he kept having issues with his on again off again girlfriend. He lived in a nice middle class neighborhood and had also had employment as a security guard and a bouncer at Sneakers bar. A former girl he went to highschool with called him the sweetest, most polite, open the door kind of gentleman. But then again this gentleman has also been accused of raping an escort.
Now before you think I am ribbing on this kind gentle person wait until you read what he did below.
The Crime: On June 3rd, 1999 at a little after 5 am Floyd entered the Albertson's Supermarket dressed up in cammo gear and opened fire with a shotgun. He shot Thomas Darnell in the back twice killing him instantly. He also killed Carlos Leos and Denis Sargent. Then he shot Zachary Emminger as he was running away from him. As Emminger lye on the ground with a punctured lung Floyd walked by him thinking he was dead and whispered to him "Yeah you're dead". Then he encountered Lucille Tarantino at the rear of the store and shot her in the head at point blank range.
Floyd was only in the store for 7 minutes and manged to kill 4 people and critically injure one.
Arrest and Trial: When Floyd exited the supermarket the Las Vegas police were outside waiting for him. An employee of the store called the police from upstairs. When Floyd seen the police outside he ran back into the store and threatened to kill himself. Something that he should of done before killing everyone else.
Eventually Floyd surrendered and was arrested for murder. He was sentenced to death. All his appeals have been denied.
Michael ForrestThornton (born 1955): was a business man who owned hair salons in Rialto, California. Thornton was accused of molesting a 6 year old girl. He has a son from a previous marriage. And a daughter with his second wife Pamela. Thornton was physically abusive towards Pamela often strangling her and even putting a gun to her head and threatening to kill her. He was also abusive to his son and his daughter.
Janeen Snyder
Janeen Marie Snyder (born: Sept 26th,1979): Janeen Snyder was a run away prostitute meth addict. Her mother kicked her out of her house when she was 15 for sleeping with her boyfriend.
Crimes: Thornton and Snyder met in 1996 when Thornton's daughter (then 16) wanted a friend (Snyder) to move in with them as she had nowhere to go as she was a meth addicted prostitute. Which worked out perfect for Michael as he loved meth and sex with young girls.
They targeted young girls as to Michael's sick sexual fantasies. Janeen was used as bait to lure the girls in so they could both sexual exploit them, rape them, then kill them.
Murder of Jesse Kay Peters
On March 26th, 1996 the first murder occurs. Jesse Peters is the daughter of Cheryl Peters, who worked for Michael Peters in a hair salon that he owned. One day in a heated argument with Michael Thornton Cheryl Peters quit her job on the spot taking other hair dresses along with her. Angered by the event Thornton scopes out the Peters house and gets Janeen to lure Jesse out of the house, into the car, and then over to his house.
Once they got Jesse to the house Thornton handcuffed her to the bed and raped her as Janeen watched. He then took her to the bathtub and drowned her. Then hacked her up into containers and then hucked her body into the Pacific Ocean. Thornton's wife even testified against him saying that he had heard him say he had killed a young girl and dumped her
In 2001 5 years after the murder of Jesse Peters the duo heads to Las Vegas, NV and finds Michelle Curran. Janeen talks to Michelle gains her trust and tells her to come into a vehicle where she can not leave as Thornton tells her he has a gun. They kept her for several weeks molesting her. After awhile they felt she had to go. They found a horse ranch in Ribidioux, California. They found a room with ropes and tied her up. Then Janeen shot and killed Michelle. Her nude body was discovered almost a week later with a bullet hole in the head.
Prison Information:Michael Forrest Thornton was admitted into San Quentin on 09/13/2006
Janeen Marie Snyder is in Chowchilla Woman's Facility. They have both been sentenced to death.
