Leah Roberts
Leah Roberts left her Durham, North Carolina home on March 9th, 2000 on a cross country expedition. She has never been heard from or seen since. Two weeks after she left her jeep was found in a ditch off the road 90 miles north of Seattle, Washington by two joggers. There was no sign of Leah though. No blood or sign of struggle were there either and all alot of her belongs still remained in the Jeep. Included a few thousand dollars in cash.
When police found the Jeep it also appeared as if someone lived in for a short time. Blankets were hanging from windows as if to keep rain out.
Further investigation has been found of sabotage to Leah's Jeep which may of caused it to go off of the road. Also male DNA has been found on some clothes in the vehicle. But this may not be useful information.
Leah Roberts: (Born July 23rd, 1976 ) Leah Roberts mother died suddenly when she was in her early 20's. Her father died after a battle with illness. Three months before she was to graduate college she dropped out and went on her journey.
Sightings
- An anonymous tipster phoned in and said he was certain he and his wife seen Leah at a Texaco gas station in Everett, Washington. This was just a few days after her disappearance. He said that she appeared confused and disoriented. Police weren't to sure about the tip as the man hung up before giving his name.
- Another tip came in where she was seen leaving a restaurant in Bellingham, Washington.
Tidbits
- Before she left Leah wrote a note to her room mate which said she was not suicidal and needed to go on a journey.
